Donate Equipment

We want to give your pre-loved sports equipment
to those who need it most

Fair Game takes your sports equipment to some of the most remote and under-serviced communities in Australia where it helps remove barriers to participation in sport and fitness activities and supports a healthy lifestyle. Our Recycle & Donate program distributes over 6000 items a year having a positive social and environmental impact.

It costs $30 to deliver one child a piece of preloved equipment and a sports or health education session in regional Australia so please consider giving a financial contribution to get your kit to its new home and maximise its impact!

Frequently Asked Questions

Please read the FAQs below prior to contacting us regarding equipment donations as it might help answer some of your questions on how, what, when, and where you can donate.

UPDATE January  2019:  We are currently in need of footballs, soccer balls, basketballs, footy boots, sets of team bibs, cones, boxing gloves/focus pads, frisbees, skipping ropes, dodgeballs and hula hoops!

Please note we cannot currently accept recycled trophies due to an influx of these items.

The list above details those items most urgently required.  There are a range of other items needed so please do not hesitate to contact us if you have equipment you think we can use.

Please note that all donations should be in functional condition and cleaned prior to donation.

You can help us by dropping your pre-loved sports equipment into one of the Fair Game bins which are located across Perth and WA. Our recycle bins are bright blue so you can’t miss them! (Scroll down to the map for bin locations)

If you have a specific donation or an extra large item do not hesitate to contact us at recycle@fairgame.org.au to discuss delivery/pickup options.

We are unable to pay for collection of items so please consider how you will get equipment to us before organising a donation drive.

If the donation is too large to leave in one of our blue collection bins or you have any other questions, please email us at recycle@fairgame.org.au and our volunteers will respond as soon as we can. (Please see the map below for bin locations, address and collection times)

We have quarterly ‘busy bees’ when our volunteers process all the incoming/outgoing donations. If you have the ability to drop off your generous donation directly to our storage shed in Bassendean (WA 6054) between 9am-11am on the Sunday of the busy bee this will help us reduce our administration time. You will also get to see where your donation is likely to go! Please email recycle@fairgame.org.au for the next busy bee date.

The distance between our main collection points in Perth and the Eastern States presents some logistical difficulties for general donations. We are a volunteer organisation and as such cannot afford to the fund the transport of donations to Perth. We would love to accept your donations of any high yield items including footballs, basketballs and football boots. If you are financially positioned to be able to provide this please let us know and we can organise the finer details. Sometimes travelling friends can bring the equipment over with them to deposit at our collection centres in Perth.

We have limited storage capacity in Sydney so may be able to accept some high turnover items there.  Please email us at recycle@fairgame.org.au to check.

We do not receive many requests for clothing so these donations would be more useful to an organisation such as the Good Samaritans or St. Vincent de Paul’s. The exception to that rule would be team sets of AFL guernseys and basketball singlets, so please send us an email if you would like to donate these items.   We do always need footy boots and running shoes so we would be delighted to accept these.

We have deductible gift recipient donation status for financial donations and will send you a tax invoice on receipt of your financial donation.  It costs $30 to deliver a sports or fitness program and a piece of recycled sports equipment to a child in regional WA so we greatly appreciate every dollar you give.  Click here to donate. Unfortunately we cannot provide a receipt for recycled second hand equipment for taxation purposes

No.  Thank you for thinking of Fair Game with your generous offer, but we are not currently accepting trophy donations as we currently have a surplus and limited storage space.

Junior football/soccer boots, AFL balls, basketballs and soccer balls are our most requested items. Running collection drives at your sporting club is a great way to collect these items.  Click here for a digital poster that you can print to help promote your collection drive.  If you would like any further information to help you with your collection drive please email us at info@fairgame.org.au  If you are located outside Perth please note that we cannot pay for items delivery to our Bassendean storage facility.

Fantastic!  Junior football/soccer boots, AFL balls, basketballs and soccer balls are our most requested items for donation. Running collection drives at your sporting club is a great way to collect these items.  Click here for a digital poster that you can print to help promote your collection drive.  Click here for some of our top tips to help you organise your drive.  If you would like any further information to help you with your collection drive please email us at recycle@fairgame.org.au If you are located outside Perth please note that we cannot pay for items delivery to our Bassendean storage facility. We will endeavour to have someone officially collect the items from your organisation in person to allow for a photo opportunity for a local newspaper, if desired.

We ask that your donations be in good, clean condition, because they are going to a second home and therefore need to be functional and durable.

Due to privacy issues we are not usually able to supply a photo of the recipient of your donation.   If your club is making a large equipment donation we will endeavour to have someone pick this up in person where practicable, for a photo opportunity for your club/community newsletter or local newspaper.

We are always looking for potential recipients of our equipment as we love to help people get active.  Please complete a Wish List Form detailing exactly what type of equipment, and how many of each item that you require.  We fulfil equipment requests on a quarterly basis. If you have any enquiries please email: recycle@fairgame.org.au

Fair Game has a vision for a Fit & Healthy Australia and as such our focus is on providing equipment to Australian communities in need. In the event we have equipment in surplus we would consider donating, however as a not-for-profit organisation we cannot afford to fund the transport of equipment. If you are able to fund the transport yourself, and we have the equipment available, we would love to assist.  Please contact us at recycle@fairgame.org.au with your request.

No, we are a charity and do not purchase new product to donate.

Reclink is a charity organisation who provides vital sport and recreation programs to disadvantaged and vulnerable members of our community. We have a very small budget, which doesn’t leave much room for the purchasing of equipment. We are so fortunate to have the support of Fair Game, who have come to our rescue on a number of occasions to provide us with footballs, shoes, netballs, bibs, yoga mats, and more. Without this equipment, we wouldn’t have been able to run these programs, which all contribute to improving the quality of life for people who really need it
