Nicki was raised in suburban Perth as part of a close family. Growing up, her family enjoyed many holidays to regional Western Australia, particularly in the South West, Wheatbelt and Goldfields.
After studying and working as a scientist, Nicki completed a Graduate Diploma in Education and through her two practicum placements she experienced the inequity within Perth. During a 4WD trip through the Kimberley and Pilbara regions in 2010, she fell in love with the rural life.
Having dabbled in community work for many years, Nicki was introduced to Fair Game in 2012. Through Fair Game, she found a way to merge her passion for volunteering and her love for Western Australia into a meaningful purpose – helping to provide healthy community messages to kids all over the state through physical activity.
In 2016, Nicki stepped away from her 11 year career as a research scientist with CSIRO to become Fair Game’s first full time staff member, CEO!
