In 1999 Gracie graduated from university with a Sports Science degree. She went onto complete further studies in Education & Human Nutrition.
Gracie has extensive experience teaching in both child and adult education. She has been a school teacher for over 9 years, predominantly working with students from socially disadvantaged areas. For the past 12 years she has also worked in the areas of health, nutrition and fitness.
In 2009 the opportunity to teach and live in Japan was a rich experience and she found great joy in teaching children from another culture.
Upon returning to Australia she became involved with Fair Game and has been able to draw on her many different experiences to help engage in her role as the Kimberley Co-coordinator. She assists in the program development of fit4youth, which involves fitness, strength and dance training.
Gracie believes every child should have access to a high standard of education, positive role models and a healthy lifestyle. In her spare time she enjoys keeping fit and motivating others to stay healthy, cooking and spending time with family and friends..
